Amadeus: An exceptional choreographic creation in its world premiere.

AMADEUS draws on the myth shaped by cinema, a Mozart who is incandescent, excessive, unsettling and impossible to grasp. But there is no linear narrative here and no historical reconstruction. Dance takes the place of words. The body replaces dialogue. Emotion replaces biography. The audience does not watch genius from a distance. It is pulled into its inner storm.

Through a strong and cinematic choreographic language, Tamás Juronics and the Szeged Contemporary Dance Company reveal a many-sided Mozart, both child prodigy and broken man, adored icon and deeply solitary figure. Scenes unfold like film sequences, moving through flashes of vision, rising tension, suspended silence and sudden shifts between light and darkness. Music becomes physical. Movement becomes a cry.

The performance unfolds in two acts and moves toward a final transformation where the stage becomes a space beyond time. The Requiem is no longer an unfinished work. It becomes elevation, celebration and redemption through art.

Created in collaboration with Müpa Budapest, one of Europe’s leading cultural venues, and acclaimed from its very first performances, AMADEUS offers a fully immersive experience, visual, musical and emotional.

An extraordinary ballet with rare cinematic power. Not a story about Mozart, but a direct encounter with genius.

Capitole

After Belgian independence in 1830, the ‘Het Zuid’ district was built in Ghent around the first train station, later with the zoo and the park. The facade of the Capitole with its triangular pediment and neoclassical colonnade dates from 1850. With the rise of sound film, there was a need for a cinema that could handle these new techniques. In 1932, Geo Henderick built…
